Gilbertsville, PA, January 20, 2009 — Superior Water Company today announced that it has named Louise A. Knight to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Her post is effective immediately.

Ms. Knight brings to Superior Water Company over 20 years of experience in the utility industry. She served at the Public Utility Commission for ten years, leaving as Deputy Chief Counsel for Fixed Utility Services. In 1986, she entered private practice becoming a partner at Malatesta Hawke & McKeon, Saul Ewing, and, most recently, Post & Schell. While in private practice, she represented all manner of fixed utilities, including Aqua Pennsylvania, NRG Energy Center Harrisburg, NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh, Derry Township Municipal Authority, the University of Pennsylvania, and Superior Water Company. She also served as Chairperson of the Silver Spring Township Municipal Authority.

Ms. Knight was selected as a Woman of Excellence by the Harrisburg YWCA in 2005. She is a chairman of Brethren Community Ministries, a non-profit organization that provides social services to residents in inner-City Harrisburg. She is also active in her church and in the Rotary Club.
